Job summary

Rovio is seeking a Senior HR Operations Specialist to join a global HR operations team responsible for policies, processes, and programs across five countries. You will support payroll in Finland and Canada and work on a large integration project while consolidating several HR programs.

The role is fixed-term until the end of August 2027, and offers a hybrid setup with two to three days in the office per week.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in HR administrative work as a payroll contact person, covering the whole employee lifecycle.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information with discretion in a high pace environment.
• Strong knowledge of Finnish labour legislations and law.
• Professional English and Finnish language skills both written and spoken; other languages are a plus.
• Knowledge of HR processes and modern standards; proactive in tasks and continuous learning.
• Customer- and service-oriented with high emotional intelligence and inclusivity awareness.
• Good communication and collaboration skills to partner with internal customers and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day on-demand support to employees and supervisors on employment and people-related queries.
• Maintain and develop end-to-end employee lifecycle: onboarding, HRIS records, payroll, offboarding, etc.
• Collaborate with HR operations and partner with People, IT, Legal and Finance teams on projects like policy development and HRIS improvements.
• Act as a payroll contact and prepare data for external providers in Finland and Canada, supporting a payroll vendor change project.
• Learn from and contribute to HR policies and programs across multiple countries within a flat, global team.
