Job summary

Nordea is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed AI Scientist to join the Forward Deployed AI team in a hybrid role based in Helsinki with options across Nordea's Nordic footprint. You will design and scale agentic AI solutions, embedding with business units to deliver measurable impact while upholding ethical standards.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Data Science or Statistics
• 3+ years hands-on experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production using Python
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) for deploying AI/ML and data services
• Deep understanding of machine learning and statistics, ability to translate business problems into modeling problems
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and business stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale AI applications from concept to production
• Translate ambiguous business problems into defined ML problem statements
• Contribute to full modeling lifecycle: framing, hypothesis, evaluation, iteration
• Develop and implement advanced ML models and agentic solutions
• Explore emerging AI methods and build proofs of concept for Nordea’s use cases
