Job summary

Nordea is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed AI Scientist to join our AI team. You will design and scale agentic AI solutions that drive measurable value across the bank while ensuring ethical development practices.

The role is full-time with a hybrid work arrangement and locations including Helsinki, Finland, as well as other Nordea hubs in the region. You will embed with business units to deliver practical AI outcomes and advance data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc/PhD in CS, Engineering Physics, Data Science, Statistics.
• ≥3 years Python—deploying AI/ML in production.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale transformative AI applications from concept to production.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into well-defined ML problem statements.
• Provide input to the full modeling lifecycle: framing, hypotheses, evaluation, iteration.
• Develop and implement advanced ML models and agentic solutions for business applications.
• Explore emerging AI methods and build proofs of concept for Nordea’s use cases.
