Job summary

Oriola Corporation is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take independent responsibility for accounting and reporting at our Espoo headquarters. The role is fixed-term until the end of 2028, with a hybrid work model (office three days a week).

You will join a seven-person finance team and report to the Head of Financial Services Finland. The successful candidate will manage GL accounting for the parent and assist with subsidiary accounting, statutory and group reporting, VAT, payroll

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in finance and accounting.
• Experience as a Chief Accountant or in a comparable general ledger accounting role.
• Experience with SAP FI/CO.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Fluency in both Finnish and English.
• A relevant degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure, particularly during month-end closing.
• Proactive and independent approach to work, with ability to ask for support when needed.
• Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Good numerical understanding and ability to learn quickly.
• Previous experience in a listed company is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily and periodic accounting of the parent company.
• Prepare statutory and Group reporting for the parent company.
• Prepare monthly VAT reporting.
• Transfer monthly payroll data to SAP and perform reconciliations.
• Prepare corporate income tax returns and related reporting.
• Process bank statements related to GL transactions.
• Perform other accounting duties, including treasury data transfers to SAP and related reconciliations.
• Support subsidiary accounting, including import tax data and accrual postings.
