Job summary

Oriola is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take independent responsibility for accounting and reporting. The role is fixed-term until the end of 2028 and based at Oriola headquarters in Espoo, Finland.

The position follows a hybrid model with three office days per week, with a starting date negotiable. You will join a seven-person finance team handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing and GL accounting for the parent and subsidiary.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in finance and accounting.
• Previous experience as Chief Accountant or in a comparable GL role.
• Fluency in Finnish and English.
• A degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work well under month-end pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily and periodic accounting of the parent company.
• Prepare statutory and Group reporting for the parent company.
• Prepare monthly VAT reporting.
• Transfer payroll data to SAP and perform reconciliations.
• Prepare corporate income tax returns and related reporting.
• Process bank statements and GL transactions; perform related reconciliations.
• Support accounting of subsidiary including import tax data and accruals.
