Job summary

Microsoft Oy in Finland seeks a senior commercial manager to lead the regional data centre construction commercial management. You will partner with design, engineering, construction, finance, scheduling and project controls to ensure projects stay within scope, schedule and budget.

You will develop detailed estimates, validate contractor pricing, manage contract administration, and lead governance reporting for regional and EMEA leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity surveying, Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience.
• Experience in Leadership experience in Construction Projects.
• Experience delivering cost management on datacentre construction projects.
• Experience of construction-phase commercial delivery, including general contractor procurement, change management, review of subcontractor costs and pay applications, and final account settlement.
• Experience delivering on projects with individual build values in excess of $500M.
• Clear understanding of the full construction lifecycle.
• Strong Power BI, Excel, reporting and tracking tooling.
• English working proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of data centre construction projects across the region.
• Develop detailed project estimates and support business case development.
• Validate contractor pricing and provide commercial input into funding requests and investment decisions.
• Manage contract administration activities including payment applications, change orders, procurement reviews, vendor invoicing and final accounts.
• Lead Quantity Surveying partners and commercial resources and provide governance and reporting for leadership teams.
