Job summary

Microsoft Oy in Finland is seeking a senior commercial and cost management leader to oversee the full project lifecycle for datacentre construction, partnering with design, finance, scheduling, and project controls to keep work within approved scope, budget, and timelines.

You will develop and manage cost plans, forecasts, and budgets, provide commercial insights, lead change control, and oversee procurement to ensure value and compliance across the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Leadership experience in construction projects.
• Experience delivering cost management on datacentre construction projects.
• Experience of construction-phase commercial delivery, including procurement, change management, review of subcontractor costs and pay applications, and final account settlement.
• Experience delivering on projects with build values exceeding $500M.
• Strong Power BI, Excel, reporting and tracking tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and cost management activities across the full project lifecycle with design, construction, finance, scheduling and project controls.
• Develop and manage project cost plans, estimates, budgets and forecasts to enable effective decision making.
• Provide commercial oversight of procurement activities, including subcontractor packages and vendor agreements, ensuring value and compliance.
• Manage change control and commercial risk, resolving disputes and providing guidance throughout project delivery.
• Drive governance, cost controls and continuous improvement with regional best practices.
