Job summary

Polar Electro is seeking a Senior Data/AI Scientist to join the Data Analytics & AI team at Polar Research Center in Finland. You will turn wearable, app, and cloud data into insights that guide business decisions, R&D, and customer experience, contributing to AI/ML model development and data engineering.

You should have a Master’s or PhD in a technical field, senior data analytics experience, and proficiency in SQL and Python/PySpark, with experience on Databricks and AWS.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in a technical field.
• Senior-level experience in applied data analytics.
• Advanced SQL and Python / PySpark skills.
• Experience with Databricks and AWS cloud platforms.
• Understanding of data modeling and data engineering practices.
• Strong collaboration and English communication in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Polar data to support business decisions across the company.
• Provide and analyze data for R&D purposes, including insights to feed product and algorithm development.
• Deliver customer experience analytics that guide product development.
• Contribute to data engineering — how our data is modeled and made available to our data analytics services.
• Contribute to the technological development and future roadmap of our data analytics.
