Job summary

Polar Electro seeks a Senior Researcher, Algorithms for the Content Creation team in Finland. The role blends research and practical product development, with hybrid work between Polar offices (Kempele preferred) and remote work.

You will design and evaluate algorithms for biosignals and time-series data, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to turn scientific insights into wellness solutions. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or PhD in a relevant field, have strong Python skills,

Qualifications

• Master's/Ph.D. degree in a relevant field (e.g., biomedical engineering, biophysics, mathematics, or health sciences).
• Strong programming skills and experience with algorithm development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop algorithms using biosignals and inertial data for new Polar Smart Coaching solutions.
• Investigate and innovate new Polar features in internal or collaborative research projects.
• Design and supervise data collection studies for algorithm research and development.
• Report findings including algorithm performance and feasibility.
