Job summary

Eaton is seeking a senior in-house lawyer to lead end-to-end contracting for data center projects. You will partner with sales and project delivery, shaping strategy, negotiating high-value terms, and developing standard frameworks and governance. English fluency and extensive in-house or top-tier law firm experience are required.

The role offers a challenging environment with cross-border deals and opportunities to influence risk posture at senior levels.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with extensive post-qualification experience in commercial contracts.
• Experience negotiating high-value B2B contracts in data center/tech infra.
• Strong knowledge of risk allocation: liability, warranties, indemnities, etc.
• Ability to manage complex schedules and performance specifications.
• Experience leading a contract function and template management.
• Experience instructing external counsel and cost-conscious oversight.
• Proven ability to operate in fast-paced multi-deal environments.
• Fluency in English;Additional European languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the full contract lifecycle for high-value customer contracts in data center projects from terms negotiation to close-out and dispute resolution.
• Lead negotiations with hyperscalers, colocation operators, main contractors, and large enterprise customers.
• Act as the primary legal partner to sales and project delivery, providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice.
• Develop and own the company's standard contract framework including terms, NDAs, and teaming agreements.
• Drive improvements in contracting processes, approvals, and risk governance, including contract management systems.
• Provide strategic input on risk appetite and escalation thresholds with senior leadership.
• Oversee post-execution contract management, variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Engage and manage external counsel for specialist advice, controlling cost and quality.
• Support the business on M&A, partnerships, or new market entry requiring due diligence.
