Job summary

Mercury is seeking a Project Operations Manager for Vaasa to lead large-scale construction programmes across civil, structural, architectural, electrical and mechanical work streams. You will drive safety, quality and schedule performance while coordinating with planners, contractors and clients to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.

The role demands an engineering background, 10+ years of GC experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or recognised trade qualification.
• 10+ years’ experience managing large construction projects as a general contractor.
• Thorough knowledge of civil, structural and architectural packages.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical and life-safety work packages.
• Manage site safety in conjunction with Mercury Safety Advisor and close out files.
• Maintain project schedule with planner, PMs, sub-contractors and consulting engineer/architect to Mercury Engineering and Client requirements.
• Facilitate the adherence to schedule on the project through DABs meetings and on-site actions.
• Knowledge of package budgets. Drive good value through efficient performance and continuity of work for supply chain.
