Job summary

Mercury in Vaasa is seeking a Senior Planner to lead complex design and construction planning. You will own the planning lifecycle, drive programme strategy, and act as the senior planning authority across projects, ensuring robust and auditable schedules.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years planning and project controls experience in large-scale construction or engineering.
Strong understanding of project lifecycle from design to handover.
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 for detailed programmes and baselines.
Experience with DCMA metrics, critical path analysis and schedule quality review.
Excellent Excel and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead planner for a project or portfolio, owning the full planning lifecycle.
Develop and maintain schedules across pre-construction, construction and commissioning phases.
Monitor schedule health, KPI trends and reporting baselines.
Implement and manage Earned Value Management (EVM) frameworks where required.
Audit on-site progress and ensure schedule reflects site reality.
Prepare tender schedules and support bid processes.
Support short-interval planning with weekly to 6-week lookaheads.
Resource loading and cash flow forecasting for planning alignment.
