Job summary

Stora Enso seeks two commercially driven Business Development Managers to support profitable growth of our sawmill business. You will connect market opportunities, customer needs, and production capabilities to drive value creation across portfolio development, market expansion, and performance improvement.

Role centers on portfolio development, market expansion, and collaboration with Sales, Supply Chain, Mill Management, and Production to maximize value in Finland-based sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development, sales, product management, supply chain, commercial management, or a similar business-oriented role.
• Good understanding of forest industry, wood products, or industrial B2B environments.
• Strong commercial mindset and profitability drivers across the value chain.
• Experience analyzing business performance and identifying opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic and tactical development of the sawmill product portfolio.
• Identify opportunities to optimize product mix, market allocation, and value realization.
• Evaluate and develop new market opportunities, customer segments, and business initiatives.
• Support the commercialization of new products and value-added solutions.
• Analyze market trends, customer requirements, competitor activities, and profitability drivers.
• Develop recommendations that improve commercial performance and business profitability.
• Collaborate with Sales teams to identify growth opportunities and strengthen market positioning.
• Work with mill organizations to align production capabilities with market opportunities.
• Lead and participate in cross-functional business development projects.
• Build business cases and support decision-making through data-driven analysis.
