Job summary

ICEYE is seeking a Flight Software Deployment Engineer to work on satellite over-the-air updates from Espoo, Finland, or Warsaw, Poland, in a hybrid setup. You will contribute to the build and release chain for flight software, ensuring reproducible, verifiable updates for satellites in orbit.

You will work across embedded Linux and build systems, implementing robust signing and delivery processes while collaborating with the Flight Software Build & Release Team.

Qualifications

• Embedded Linux development with cross-compilation for ARM or similar targets.
• CI/CD experience for compiled artifacts; GitHub Actions required.
• Scripting in Python and Bash for automation.
• Experience with release integrity controls, signing keys, PKI and trust chains a plus.
• Experience shipping updates to embedded devices with package-based update mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on software engineering of satellite on-board updating system from build to deployment.
• Contribute to build layer across flight software so repos are built, versioned, and packaged consistently.
• Harden packaging pipelines, manage signing keys, and enforce least-privilege access.
• Coordinate with Linux platform team on updates landing on satellites and filesystem layouts.
