Job summary

ICEYE in Espoo, Finland is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Networking) to help build the networking backbone for ground-to-space communications. You will influence architecture and shape the TT&C Gateway, handling socket connections, traffic shaping, and resilience over high-latency links.

You will work in a hybrid role within the Fleet Automation team, with opportunities to mentor juniors and drive automated testing, CI/CD, and robust delivery practices in a diverse, mission-focused

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and operating networked satellite/ground communications.
• Experience with high-latency, low-bandwidth links and resilience.
• Proficiency in debugging networking at packet level and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver TT&C gateway evolution with documented trade-offs.
• Improve reliability and fault tolerance over degraded connections.
• Develop automated anomaly detection for satellite communications.
• Integrate gateway with ground stations and mission control tooling.
• Mentor junior engineers and improve code quality through reviews.
