Metso is seeking a motivated Field Service Technician in Australia to install, service and repair Metso pumps and related equipment at customer sites. You will diagnose faults, perform maintenance and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable operation.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining and repairing pumps, rotating equipment or heavy industrial machinery.
• Strong emphasis on safety and safe work practices.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specs.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites.
• Pass a pre-employment medical.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel); MS Project a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot Metso pumps and related equipment at customer sites.
• Conduct field inspections and condition assessments on customer equipment.
• Diagnose faults and implement cost-effective solutions.
• Perform shutdowns, breakdowns and planned maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and service procedures.
• Complete service reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure all work meets safety requirements and customer site standards.
• Collaborate with planning, engineering, operations and support teams.
• Contribute to continuous safety and quality improvements.
