ABB Oy in Vaasa seeks a Project Manager - Upgrade Projects to guide automation upgrade initiatives. You will own the full lifecycle, lead the PMO-aligned team, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure excellent customer collaboration with a strong focus on HSE and performance.

This hybrid role requires solid international communication and a proactive, solution-focused mindset. You will coordinate with Engineering, Supply, and Commercial teams, reporting to the PMO Manager.

Qualifications

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in automation engineering or related field.
• Several years of experience in technical project execution, preferably in the energy sector.
• Strong English and Swedish or Finnish written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team and allocate tasks to achieve milestones.
• Define and maintain project plans including scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Monitor cost, resource use, and safety/environment compliance.

In this role, you will be accountable for and lead the execution of automation upgrade projects within our Engine Power business segment.You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation through implementation. As a Project Manager, you monitor and control project progress, ensure efficient use of resources, and serve as the technical lead for your projects. You are accountable for project financials and ensure timely and accurate execution of commercial aspects of contracts. You communicate the project goals and plans internally and externally and act as the project key contact for the customer. You’ll be working as a part of the Project Management Office team (PMO) together with supportive teammates and colleagues.The role includes limited travel, 0-10 days annually.
