This recruitment is carried out anonymously. Metsä Group is looking for an ANALYTICS DEVELOPER to join our Digital & AI function in Espoo, Finland.
As an Analytics Developer, you will design, develop and maintain secure, user-friendly and high-performing Power BI solutions that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will transform business and analytical requirements into governed and reusable semantic models, reports and dashboards in close cooperation with business stakeholders and IT professionals.
You will also play a key role in renewing the way we lead with data and insights by developing key components of AI-driven business intelligence capabilities that make analytics more proactive, conversational and accessible to users.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining Power BI solutions, including semantic models, DAX calculations, and visualization. You will ensure that the solutions comply with Metsä’s architecture, security, governance, user experience and development practices.
You will optimize the performance of semantic models, DAX calculations, reports and data refreshes to ensure high-performing, maintainable and user-friendly analytics solutions.
You will also solve technically challenging analytics problems, influence solution design decisions, recommend best-practice implementation approaches and contribute to the development of enterprise-wide Power BI practices.
Your responsibilities will also include implementing approved data-access controls, maintaining technical documentation and supporting testing, deployment, release management and the transition of solutions to continuous services.
You will collaborate with Solution Owners, Solution Designers, Data Architects, Data Engineers, business stakeholders, development partners and other Power BI developers.
You will also resolve complex Power BI issues, guide, review and approve solutions developed by external partners and contribute to the continuous improvement of our Power BI development practices.
This is a permanent position and you will report to Development Manager, Analytics.
We are looking for an experienced analytics professional with strong expertise in Power BI development, semantic modelling, DAX and data visualization. You have experience in developing business-critical reporting and analytics solutions and can translate business needs into clear, effective and maintainable analytical solutions.
