The University of Oulu invites a Doctoral Researcher in Educational Technology to study GenAI, teacher education, and teachers’ professional development within two research projects. The appointment is fixed-term for three years, starting January 2027.

You will conduct mixed-methods research, develop GenAI‑supported courses and materials, analyze data, and contribute to publications, collaborating with international partners. English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, educational technology, educational psychology, or related field.
• Strong interest in GenAI, educational technology, and EU matters and values.
• Proficiency in qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.
• Good IT and data analysis skills; interest in AI-based tools in educational research.
• Fluent written and spoken English; ability to work in multidisciplinary international environments.

Responsabilités

• Conduct doctoral research within the INTEGRATE (75%) and Power T/A (25%) projects, focusing on GenAI, teacher education, and teachers’ professional learning.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate GenAI-supported teacher education and professional development activities.
• Create courses, online modules, case-based learning materials, and GenAI-enabled teaching activities for teachers.
• Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data pertaining to project activities.
• Contribute to scientific publications and collaborate with national and international partners.
