Job summary

Cedar Court | Colony Court Senior Living is seeking a part-time cook to prepare, cook, and serve a variety of meals while ensuring quality and portion control. The role includes stocking supplies, maintaining a safe kitchen, and collaborating with dietary staff.

Qualified applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and ideally some experience in a long-term care setting, with strong English communication and teamwork skills. Weekend and alternating shifts apply as part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, season, and serve a variety of meals and snacks according to menus and recipes while ensuring food quality and portioning.
• Order, stock, and organize food and kitchen supplies, including retrieving ingredients for meal service.
• Operate and monitor kitchen equipment and cooking temperatures to ensure safe preparation.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and dining environment, including dishwashing and assisting dietary staff as needed.
