HUS Neurocenter seeks aRegistered nurse to join the AVH unit, caring for stroke patients on the ward and in monitoring. The role is a permanent position with an initial orientation tailored to the ward and monitoring tasks.
Start date is September 28, 2026, with structured career progression from orienting nurse to a mobile thrombectomy nurse and later lead shift responsibilities. The job features three shifts, and the unit offers individual shift planning.
New career opportunities at the Neurocenter! Do you want to take full control of the stroke patient's care path? Are you looking for a dynamic job description where you can work both on the ward and in monitoring? We are looking for a nurse for the AVH unit for a permanent employment contract. The task begins on September 28, 2026.
Our ward M7A has 12 patient places. Our largest patient group is cerebrovascular accident patients, we have specialized particularly in working-age AVH patients. Patients come to the ward mainly through the emergency department or AVH monitoring (Stroke Unit). Our ward is divided into two cells, but we treat patients in cooperation between the cells. Patients are in different conditions ranging from bedridden to independent. From our ward, they move either to follow-up care or are discharged.
In the AVH monitoring (Stroke Unit) there are six patient places. On our ward, we treat acutely ill cerebrovascular accident patients who come for treatment mainly through the emergency department. We specialize in thrombectomy and thrombolysis patients and respirator patients are also treated in the unit. Patients are acutely ill requiring intensive care and monitoring.
The job description is versatile and varied, so you can be a colleague starting your career or an experienced veteran – with us you can deepen your expertise. We offer you a comprehensive orientation, at the beginning of which you are not counted in the shift strength. Orientation for the ward and monitoring is planned for you individually.
According to the career path planned by the unit, you can progress individually from an orienting nurse to a mobile thrombectomy nurse ("t-nurse") and as expertise grows, up to an experienced shift leader. The work is three-shift work, but you have the opportunity to influence your own shifts through community shift planning. If you wish, you can join the time bank, which in turn helps in reconciling everyday life and working life.
We hope you start work on September 28, 2026. Remuneration is according to the SOTE agreement. The task-specific salary is €3,218.18/month and possible experience and other additions.
