Job summary

Smiths Group seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join the Nordic Regional Engineering team. You will provide day-to-day technical support and application engineering across a portfolio of products, working with Sales, Service and Customer Operations to solve challenges.

The role blends technical excellence with commercial awareness, delivering practical solutions and effective service for customers across the Nordic region.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified engineer with strong engineering principles.
• Experience supporting customers through troubleshooting and solution development.
• Commercial awareness balancing technical and business goals.
• Proficiency with CAD and engineering simulation tools such as FEA and CFD.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and application engineering across Wet Seals, Wet Seal Systems, Couplings and Filtration products.
• Support Sales and Service teams with technical proposals and customer presentations.
• Investigate issues, perform root cause analysis and propose resolutions.
• Deliver engineering support and applications to Service and Customer Operations in the Nordic region.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Contribute to engineering projects and application requests within timelines.
• Participate in technical reviews and customer-facing discussions.
