Job summary

Cyient Limited in Vaasa, Finland, seeks a proactive Design Engineer or Senior Design Engineer with a mechanical background to join our Product Engineering team. You will work on engine-related components, lifting tools, or auxiliary equipment in diverse customer projects.

You should have hands-on manufacturing or assembly experience and strong skills in Siemens NX and Teamcenter, plus Catia, SolidWorks or Inventor.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering.
• Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter; Catia, SolidWorks and Inventor advantageous.
• Fluent Finnish or Swedish and English; strong social skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and product development of engine-related components, lifting tools, or auxiliary equipment.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver design solutions.
• Apply Model-based Definition (MBD) and various manufacturing processes to optimize designs.

Your role:

• In a typical customer project, you’ll engage in the design and product development of engine-related components, lifting tools, or auxiliary equipment.
• Having expertise in sheet-metal design, castings, welded structures, Additive Manufacturing, diverse manufacturing processes, and Model-based definition (MBD) will greatly enhance your effectiveness in fulfilling your responsibilities.
• Previous hands-on experience from manufacturing- or assembly work is seen as an advantage.

In this position, you’ll collaborate closely with our customers, taking on an independent role while benefiting from the support of our nearby colleagues.
