Job summary

KoBold Metals is seeking a Field Operations Lead to plan and execute multi-project field operations in Sweden with a focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient program delivery. You will lead cross-functional teams, including contractors, geologists, data scientists, and planners, across Nordic jurisdictions.

The role emphasizes planning, execution, and closure, with deep knowledge of winter conditions, helicopter-supported exploration, and strong procurement and risk-management

Qualifications

• At least 12 years of experience conducting field operations in mineral exploration and mining, oil and gas, or related industries.
• Advanced knowledge of winter and frozen-ground construction (Nordic environments).
• Advanced understanding of helicopter-supported exploration and emergency response considerations.
• Strong procurement knowledge: RFP development, bid evaluation, contract administration.
• Experience with rehabilitation and closure planning and health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning of complex exploration projects in Sweden, incl. drilling, EM surveys, reconnaissance.
• Lead 1–3 concurrent projects with accountability for planning and execution.
• Develop procurement strategies, contractor selection, bid evaluation.
• Manage field activities, including contractor performance evaluation and improvements.
• Represent KoBold with local Swedish stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
