Job summary

Nordea is seeking an experienced Lead Solution Architect to shape Digital Euro capabilities within the Nordic Wallets & eCom Agile Release Train. You will align business strategy, payments innovation and technology architecture to deliver scalable, secure and compliant payment experiences across the Nordics.

You will collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Security and Compliance to translate evolving Digital Euro requirements into practical solution designs and governance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect, Lead Architect or Enterprise Architect.
• Strong understanding of payments and digital banking.
• Experience in wallets, mobile payments or e‑commerce payment journeys.
• Experience designing large‑scale payment solutions and distributed architectures.
• Experience with API platforms, event-driven architectures, cloud-native techs and security/identity services.
• Ability to lead architecture initiatives across multiple teams and Service Domains.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve target architecture for Digital Euro within Nordic Wallets & eCom.
• Drive architecture decisions for Digital Euro experiences.
• Assess coexistence of Digital Euro with existing payment methods.
• Define architecture patterns for onboarding, authentication, and payments processes.
• Create architecture artefacts (HLD, SDD) and translate strategy into designs.
• Lead architecture reviews and guidance to delivery teams.
