Fiskars Group, a design-led global company, seeks an experienced Lead Design Engineer for the Power Tools R&D team in Finland. You will lead product development within New Product Development projects, turning user needs and technology opportunities into robust, manufacturable solutions for battery-powered tools.
Based in Espoo (Helsinki) or Billnäs, you will collaborate with design, engineering, manufacturing, sourcing and suppliers to move ideas from concept to launch, with hands-on
Formación
- Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Extensive experience with power tools or electromechanical products.
- Proven ability to deliver from concept to production.
- Knowledge of battery systems, motors, embedded electronics.
- Experience with suppliers and manufacturing.
Responsabilidades
- Lead Power Tools development from concept to production.
- Translate user needs into product architectures.
- Drive prototyping, testing, and design validation.
- Lead technical problem solving and design reviews.
- Ensure safety, reliability, durability, and performance.
- Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, and QA teams.
- Stay current with emerging tools and manufacturing methods.
