Job summary

Jobtailor in Helsinki is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead the design of complex power conversion products. You will drive advanced simulations, reliability analyses, and derating calculations, and collaborate with suppliers on critical components.

You will mentor colleagues, guide decisions on power conversion topics, and contribute to getting prototypes ready for certification. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Electronics engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of power conversion topologies, switching devices, control methods, PCB design, thermal and EMC design.
• Ability to mentor colleagues and guide decisions.
• Interest in electric vehicle charging.
• Proven track record in developing power conversion products.
• Self-motivated with growth mindset.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of complex power conversion products.
• Conduct advanced simulations, loss modeling, reliability analysis, and derating calculations.
• Participate in component selection decisions and collaborate with suppliers for critical components.
• Lead testing of prototypes, ensuring reliability, performance, and readiness for certification.
• Provide technical leadership in resolving electrical, thermal, and EMC challenges.
• Mentor colleagues and guide decisions that affect power conversion products.
