Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking an experienced Construction Health & Safety Manager to join a major hyperscale data centre construction project in Finland. You will lead H&S across the delivery team, coordinate with main and specialist contractors, and embed a proactive safety culture on site.

Ideal candidates will have proven H&S leadership on large-scale facilities, with NEBOSH/IOSH qualifications and strong knowledge of MEP construction environments, to drive compliance and continuous

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Health & Safety Manager on major construction projects.
• Hyperscale data centre construction experience desirable.
• Experience overseeing multiple contractors and specialist subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of H&S legislation, procedures and best practice.
• NEBOSH/IOSH qualifications or equivalent.
• Client-side, developer, consultancy, or major contractor background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction health & safety activities across the project.
• Ensure contractors comply with H&S requirements and legislation.
• Monitor high-risk activities, especially MEP, electrical and commissioning.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and safety reviews.
• Review RAMS and contractor safety documentation.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Drive corrective actions and monitor H&S performance.
• Support incident investigations and lessons learned.
• Collaborate with project team to embed safety culture.
• Produce clear H&S reporting for stakeholders.
