Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is recruiting for a Construction Health & Safety Manager to join a major hyperscale data centre development in Finland. The role is full-time, site-based with relocation support for the right candidate.

You will lead the H&S strategy, coordinate with main and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with strict safety standards across a highly technical MEP environment. This is a senior client-side position requiring on-site presence in Finland.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Health & Safety Manager on major construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction health & safety legislation, procedures and best practice.
• Experience overseeing multiple contractors and specialist subcontractors on large-scale projects.
• Relevant professional H&S qualifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent internationally recognised qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee construction health & safety activities across the project.
• Ensure contractors and subcontractors comply with project H&S requirements and legislation.
• Monitor high-risk construction activities, especially for complex MEP installations and commissioning.
• Undertake regular site inspections, audits and safety reviews.
• Review RAMS, construction methodologies and contractor safety documentation.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
