Job summary

g2 Recruitment is looking for an experienced Health, Safety and Environment Officer to join a long-term, on-site contract for a major data centre construction project in Northern Finland. You will support the project HSE plan, conduct site inspections and audits, deliver toolbox talks and inductions, and monitor contractors for compliance with Finnish HSE legislation and project standards.

Key requirements include HSE experience in construction or infrastructure, NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent

Qualifications

• Experience in HSE on construction, data centre, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction HSE requirements.
• HSE qualification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Fluent English required; Finnish language is an advantage.
• Start ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the implementation of the project HSE plan and procedures
• Conducting site inspections, safety walks and audits
• Monitoring contractors and subcontractors for HSE compliance
• Supporting risk assessments, method statements and incident investigations
• Delivering toolbox talks and site inductions
• Promoting a strong safety culture across the project
• Ensuring compliance with Finnish HSE legislation and project standards
