Job summary

V7 Recruitment are exclusive ly supporting a leading civil engineering contractor in Finland to appoint an HSE Manager for a 150MW hyperscale data centre project. Lead all site HSE activities during the civil construction phase and drive a proactive safety culture across the project and contractor workforce.

Previous data centre experience is not required. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a flagship programme with strong extension potential on a major European data centre development,

Qualifications

• Experience as HSE Manager on major construction projects.
• Strong background in heavy civils and earthworks.
• Experience with principal or large civil contractor.
• Knowledge of RAMS and risk management.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• EU Passport or unrestricted right to work within the EU.

Responsibilities

• Lead all site HSE activities throughout the civil construction phase.
• Drive a positive, proactive safety culture across the project and contractor workforce.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements and local legislation.
• Lead site inspections, audits and behavioural safety initiatives.
• Review and approve RAMS and ensure safe systems of work are effectively implemented.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coach, mentor and support site management teams on all HSE matters.
• Monitor contractor performance and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
• Produce HSE reports, KPI data and communicate performance to senior management.
• Build strong relationships with client representatives, subcontractors and the wider project team.

V7 Recruitment are exclusively supporting a leading civil engineering contractor in the appointment of an HSE Manager for a flagship 150MW hyperscale data centre project in Finland.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key leadership role on one of Europe\'s largest and fastest-growing data centre programmes. If you\'ve built your career delivering health and safety across heavy civils, infrastructure or major construction projects and have been looking for a route into the data centre sector, this is the ideal opportunity.

Previous data centre experience is not required. Our client is specifically looking for an experienced HSE Manager who understands complex civil engineering works and can drive a proactive safety culture across a major project.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Previous experience as an HSE Manager, EHS Manager or Senior HSE Advisor on major construction projects.
• Strong background in heavy civils, groundworks, earthworks, concrete structures, excavation, infrastructure or major civil engineering projects.
• Experience working for a principal contractor or large civil engineering contractor.
• Experience delivering HSE on large-scale, high-risk construction projects such as
• Strong knowledge of risk management, contractor management, RAMS, incident investigation and behavioural safety.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• EU Passport or unrestricted right to work within the EU is essential.
