Eaton's Lead Application Engineer role in Vantaa is a hands-on position that focuses on designing advanced UPS solutions and translating customer needs into robust technical concepts for the EMEA region.

You will collaborate with sales, R&D, manufacturing, and product management, while mentoring colleagues and promoting new products and technologies. A hybrid work model is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or related field.
• 5–8 years in Electrical/Electronic industry with power electronics focus.
• Strong communication and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical and commercial support to internal sales and customers for UPS and grid-support solutions across the EMEA region.
• Analyze customer requirements and translate them into optimized technical solutions and documentation.
• Design UPS and power infrastructure solutions with cross-functional teams (R&D, Product Marketing).
• Coach and mentor colleagues to elevate technical skills and knowledge.
• Represent Eaton as a technical advisor in customer meetings, industry events, and product demonstrations.

We are looking for a Lead Application Engineer

Are you an experienced electrical engineering professional who enjoys working closely with customers, solving complex technical challenges, and helping turn customer requirements into winning technical solutions?

We are now looking for a Lead Application Engineer to join Eaton's growing Sales & Service Support organization in Vantaa. In this role, you will play a key role in supporting sales organizations and customers across the EMEA region by designing advanced UPS solutions, developing customized technical concepts, and providing expert guidance throughout the sales process.

You will work at the intersection of technology, customer collaboration, and business development. The role combines deep technical problem-solving with customer interaction and offers the opportunity to work closely with sales teams, end customers, consultants, contractors, product management, manufacturing, and R&D.

As a Lead Application Engineer, you will also play an important role in sharing knowledge, coaching colleagues, and helping develop technical expertise across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical and commercial support to internal sales organizations and customers for UPS and grid-support solutions across the EMEA region.


• Support sales offices and customers in defining technical solutions, including complex and customized applications.


• Analyze customer requirements and translate them into optimized technical solutions, including system design, quotations and technical documentation.


• Design UPS and power infrastructure solutions in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders such as R&D, Product Marketing and external partners.


• Work in close contact and cooperation with key customers, consultants and contractors to understand application-specific needs.


• Act as a technical expert and a host for customer visits, FATs, witness tests and product demonstrations.


• Provide coaching and mentorship to colleagues to elevate overall technical skills and product knowledge.


• Represent Eaton as a technical advisor in customer meetings, industry trade shows and global events.


• Serve as an ambassador for new products and technologies, promoting them to sales offices and customers.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or a related technical field.

Experience

• At least 5-8 years of experience in Electrical and/or Electronic industry.

Skills

• Extensive experience in power electronics and 3-phase power systems.


• Ability to manage complex technical solutions and support sales initiatives.


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
