Job summary

Finnplay is seeking a Java Engineer to join the Platform team in a hybrid role based in Espoo, Finland or Tallinn, Estonia. The role requires you to design, implement and maintain Java applications, delivering high-quality, testable code for web-based systems. You will collaborate across teams and participate in debugging and optimization tasks.

Salary for this role will be 4000–5000€ per month gross. 2+ office visits weekly are expected, reflecting the hybrid work model, with overall focus on

Now we are looking for a Java Engineer to join our Platform team and work on interesting projects related to web-based systems. This role can be based out of Tallinn, Estonia or Espoo, Finland and we expect you to come to the office at least twice a week. Salary for this role will be 4000€-5000€/month gross.

YOUR JOB IN A NUTSHELL:

• Designing, implementing and maintaining Java applications.
• Writing well-designed, efficient and testable code.
• Conducting software analysis, programming, testing and debugging.

IN ORDER TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, THESE ARE SOME OF MUST-HAVES:

• Relevant bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology
• Minimum of 3 years’ solid experience of Java development in the backend.
• Experience in developing web-based systems.
• Understanding of OOPs concepts and patterns.
• Familiar with Spring, Hibernate, and Struts.
• Familiar with with MySQL and Linux.
• Understanding of Docker.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
