Job summary

OX2 is seeking an Investment Analysis Associate in Helsinki to drive financial modelling, valuation, and data analysis for renewable energy investments. The role collaborates with internal stakeholders to support transactions and business cases across project lifecycles.

You will analyse complex datasets, build robust financial models, and develop investment business cases that guide strategic decisions and capital allocation. Fluency in English and Finnish is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in investment analysis, M&A, valuation, transaction services, or similar.
• Experience from a Big Four combined with exposure to energy or renewable energy is a strong advantage.
• Strong financial modelling and Excel skills.
• Fluent in English and Finnish are a must.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models for renewable energy projects and portfolios.
• Perform valuation, scenario analysis, and sensitivity modelling to assess investment opportunities.
• Develop and update data-driven business cases across the project lifecycle.

The Investment Analysis team is a central function that works across the organization at every stage of a project - from early development, through the financing process and transactions, to ongoing operations. The team is responsible for providing the organization with commercial and business case insight to guide business decisions and direction.

About the Role

As an Investment Analysis Associate, you will drive financial modelling, valuation, and data analysis to support investment decisions across our projects.

This is a hands-on analytical role focused on building robust financial models, analyzing complex datasets, and developing investment business cases. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will support transactions and project evaluations through high-quality quantitative insights and commercial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models for renewable energy projects and portfolios

Qualifications & Experience

• Academic background in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or similar
• 2+ years of experience in investment analysis, M&A, valuation, transaction services, or similar
• Experience from "Big Four" combined with exposure to the energy or renewable energy industry is considered a strong advantage
• Strong financial modelling and Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and numerical capabilities, with attention to detail
• Experience working with data, structured analysis, and quantitative problem-solving
• Fluent in English and Finnish is a must
• Interest in renewable energy and infrastructure investments
