This is a key position at the intersection of engineering, project development, procurement and construction. If you enjoy combining technical excellence, stakeholder management and commercial understanding to bring complex energy projects to life, we would love to hear from you.

Your role

As Technical Project Manager, you will lead and coordinate technical activities across the development, procurement and construction phases of renewable energy projects. You will act as the focal point for technical matters within the project, ensuring alignment between engineering design, construction requirements, project economics and long-term operational performance. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineering Specialists, Procurement, Construction and external partners, you will help drive projects from concept through financial close and into execution.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams including civil, grid, GIS and technology specialists.
  • Coordinate the design of complete energy systems, including generation assets, grid connection infrastructure, civil works and control systems.
  • Ensure alignment between technical design, project schedule, yield assumptions and CAPEX/OPEX estimates.
  • Drive technical optimisation and value engineering throughout project development.
  • Maintain clear ownership of technical deliverables and documentation.
Technical Risk & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, permits, grid codes, contractual obligations and industry standards.
  • Identify, assess and manage technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support quality assurance and ensure health and safety considerations are embedded in engineering design.
Procurement & Contracting
  • Define technical scopes for procurement processes and RFQs.
  • Lead technical evaluations of suppliers and EPC contractors.
  • Support technical negotiations and contract discussions with external stakeholders.
Construction & Execution
  • Support quality and design review processes during project execution.
  • Participate in technical change management and risk mitigation activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and decision support throughout construction.
Stakeholder Management
  • Coordinate closely with internal development, procurement, construction and finance teams.
  • Support technical due diligence activities related to financing and transaction processes.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Who you are

You are a technically strong and collaborative professional who enjoys solving complex challenges and bringing people together around a common goal. You combine engineering expertise with commercial awareness and can confidently navigate both detailed technical discussions and broader project objectives. As a person you are structured, and thrive in environments where priorities evolve and multiple workstreams run in parallel.

We believe you bring

  • Degree in Engineering (BSc, MSc or equivalent).
  • Several years of experience in energy, infrastructure, construction, EPC or industrial projects.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and coordinating engineering activities.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy project development and delivery.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders in complex project environments.

It is an advantage if you also have

  • Experience from renewable energy sectors such as Wind, Solar PV, Energy Storage or Power Infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of technical due diligence processes.
