Job summary

Olana Energy is seeking a Project Development Director to accelerate the development of energy storage and data center projects in Finland and Europe. You will lead the end-to-end development process, coordinate with landowners, grid operators, authorities and other stakeholders to ensure feasibility and progress.

Do you want to be part of accelerating the development of energy storage and data center projects in Finland and Europe? Olana Energy is now looking for a Project Development Director for its growing team!

The Project Development team is holistically responsible for the development of industrial-scale infrastructure projects, such as battery storage and data centers. You will work on several projects at different stages simultaneously and ensure their feasibility and planned progress in cooperation with landowners, grid companies, authorities, and other stakeholders.

Your work is versatile and varied: you will participate, among other things, in land acquisition, land use and permitting processes, and securing grid capacity. Additionally, you will produce financing-related materials and support the progress of projects toward investment readiness. In a small organization, you will also be able to influence the development of project development practices and strategy.

Requirements for the applicant:

• A suitable university degree in a technical or commercial field
• Several years of experience in renewable energy project development
• A sales-oriented approach and excellent communication and negotiation skills
• A class B driver's license and willingness to travel within Finland
• Good proficiency in Finnish and English

Additionally considered an advantage:

• AutoCAD skills and ability to read technical drawings
• Understanding of electrical engineering
• Existing networks with energy sector operators, such as electricity grid companies

Practical matters:

In this permanent and full-time position, you will be employed directly by Olana Energy. The start date for the position is as soon as possible, but can be agreed upon based on your situation. We hope you have the possibility to work actively primarily at the Helsinki office, but working at the Turku office is also possible. The position includes occasional travel within Finland. The salary for the position is approximately between 5000-8000€/month and will be negotiated on a candidate-by-candidate basis.
