Indian Restaurant Zaika Bar Grill in Turku is seeking a skilled Indian Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong experience in Indian cuisine, excellent cooking skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.

Responsibilities include preparing curries, tandoori dishes, biryani, naan, maintaining taste and portions, managing kitchen operations, stock, and working during busy service hours.

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience as an Indian Chef or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of authentic Indian cuisine, especially North Indian cuisine.
• Experience with curries, tandoori, biryani, naan and vegetarian dishes.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Flexible to work evening, weekends and public holidays.
• Reliable, responsible and professional attitude.
• Valid right to work in Finland.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori dishes, biryani, naan and other Indian specialties.
• Ensure consistent taste, quality, presentation and portion sizes.
• Prepare ingredients and manage daily kitchen operations efficiently.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen saftey.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory management.
• Work efficiently during busy restaurant service hours.
• Minimize food waste and maintain good kitchen organization.
• Work closely with the restaurant management and kitchen team.
• Assist in developing and improving dishes and menu items when required.
