Job summary

Mercury is seeking an ICT Project Manager to lead structured cabling projects in Helsinki, Finland. You will coordinate client expectations, manage site operations, schedules and costs, and oversee subcontractors to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires 3–5 years in a similar role, strong telecommunications cabling experience, proficient MS Office skills, excellent communication, and willingness to travel across Europe. A hands-on team player approach is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Fully understand and manage client expectations and specifications of Telecommunications Infrastructure Cabling on the project.
• Manage day-to-day site operations including safety and quality.
• Manage project schedule and all costs (labour, materials, plant, variations, valuations).
• Oversee sub-contractor activities and track progress against schedule.
• Attend site meetings with client and internal team; implement company procedures.

Key Responsibilities Of The Role

• Fully Understand and Manage client expectations and specifications of Telecommunications Infrastructure Cabling on the Project.
• Management of all day-to-day site operations including Safety & Quality
• Management of Project Schedule
• Management of all costs associated with Project including:
  • Labour
  • Material and Procurement
  • Plant and Equipment
  • Variations
  • Valuations
• Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and staffing levels.
• Attendance at Site Meetings, with client and internal team.
• Develop and implement company procedures with the team.
• Ensure change management is handled correctly (Cost & Programme).
• Close out of all project items including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan – all with the Support of your Project team.
• All other duties associated with this role.

Essential Criteria For The Role

• 3-5 years’ experience working in similar role.
• Extensive experience of Telecommunications Infrastructure Cabling
• Good Computer skills - Windows, MS Office
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well within a team.
• Excellent communication skills
• Essential to be able to travel freely between European countries.
