Job summary

AFRY aims to accelerate the transition to a sustainable society and is seeking a Cost Estimator/Engineer to support its Project Controls team. The role involves budgeting, tracking costs, forecasting remaining costs, and reporting deviations while collaborating with project stakeholders.

The position is based in Finland with a flexible hybrid model, requiring travel and relocation as needed. Fluency in Finnish and English is essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Process or Industry is required.
• 2-5 years of cost estimation and/or cost control in industrial investment projects.
• Strong Excel skills; knowledge of cost estimation software is a plus (Cleopatra, Acumen, @Risk, Scudo Pro).
• Fluent in Finnish and English.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to coordinate with client and project team.
• Good data analytics and visualization skills.
• Willingness to travel and relocate.

Responsibilities

• Set up project budget and cost control procedures.
• Track actual project costs and forecast remaining costs.
• Communicate cost estimates data and deviation to stakeholders.
• Report status of project costs and deviations to budget.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to improve cost estimation and control.
