Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead all Health, Safety, and Environmental activities on-site in Helsinki. The role ensures compliance with Finnish regulations, company standards, and client requirements while promoting a strong safety culture.

The successful candidate will develop and implement HSE policies, conduct site inspections and risk assessments, and lead incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, or related field.
• NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma or equivalent HSE qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' HSE experience in construction, industrial, infrastructure, energy, or data centre projects.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English; Finnish language skills are advantageous.
• Right to work in the EU.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and site safety plans.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, risk assessments, and safety reviews.
• Ensure compliance with Finnish HSE legislation and industry best practices.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor HSE performance.
• Maintain HSE records, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness plans and drills.
• Promote continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.
