Job summary

Mercury in Vaasa, Finland, seeks an HR Generalist to support the Senior HR Business Partner within the HRBP CoE. Based in the Vaasa office, you will drive data-driven HR metrics, manage employee relations, onboarding and leavers processes, and support recruitment and absence management across the Nordic region.

Requires a 3rd level qualification in HRM/HRD, a minimum of 3 years in a similar role, Finnish employment law knowledge, and fluency in Finnish and English.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in HRM / HRD (Human Resource Management / Human Resource Development) or equivalent.
• The ability to apply Finnish employment legislation.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Proven ability to work in a confidential and discreet manner.
• Previous experience in managing Employee Relations issues.
• Proven experience in supporting and coaching first line Managers.
• The ability to work independently within your area of responsibility.
• Fluency in both Finnish and English.
• Excellent IT skills (MS Office)

Responsibilities

• Data driven HR metrics, data integrity & reporting across HR processes.
• Employee relations: first point of contact and support for line managers.
• Recruitment administration: queries, requisitions, and transfers.
• Absence management: sick leave certificates, log in HRIS, annual leave reports.
• New hire onboarding, probation notifications, and induction tasks.
• Leavers processes: termination checklists and accruals.
• Collaboration with site administration and HR CoE’s.
• HR policy awareness and training delivery.
• Global Mobility and payroll collaboration where applicable.
• General HR administration and documentation.
• Project work and cross-functional HR initiatives.
