Kuva Space seeks a Director of Geospatial AI to define and lead our AI vision, architecture, strategy, and execution across hyperspectral Earth observation, geospatial intelligence, and autonomous sensing systems. You will build advanced AI capabilities turning multi-source satellite data into operational intelligence and differentiated customer value.

This hands-on leadership role requires depth in AI/ML and the ability to bridge research and scalable products.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading AI/ML teams and delivering production-grade AI systems.
• Experience with hyperspectral imaging and geospatial analytics.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to bridge research and product.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to operate in fast-moving deep-tech startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and own Kuva Space’s AI vision, architecture, and roadmap.
• Lead design, deployment, and operationalization of AI/ML across tech stack.
• Build and mentor a high-performing AI organization.
• Ensure robust, secure, and explainable AI ready for operational use.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and commercial teams to deliver customer value.
• Balance long-term research with productization and business impact.
