Job summary

Kuva Space seeks a Director of AI to define and lead the company’s AI vision, architecture, and execution across hyperspectral Earth observation, geospatial analytics, and autonomous sensing. You will build advanced AI capabilities that transform multi-source satellite data into actionable operational intelligence and customer value.

• Significant experience in senior AI/ML leadership roles and building teams.
• Proven track record delivering production-grade AI systems.
• Deep expertise in hyperspectral imaging, geospatial analytics, and remote sensing.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead Kuva Space’s AI vision, architecture, and execution across hyperspectral Earth observation and autonomous sensing systems.
• Oversee development of AI/ML models for data processing, image understanding, object detection, forecasting, and sensor fusion.
• Build and mentor a high-performing AI organization, aligning research with product roadmaps and customer needs.
• Establish scalable AI processes, governance, and deployment standards across cloud and edge environments.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, satellite operations, and commercial teams to translate AI into measurable business value.
