Job summary

Kuva Space is building a hyperspectral satellite data pipeline. We seek a Pipeline Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain the software powering our ground segment data processing chain from Level 0 to Level 2.

You will optimize workflows for radiometric calibration, georeferencing, and quality control. Based in Espoo, Finland, or fully remote within 3 hours of the Eastern European Timezone, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams including data scientists and satellite

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong Python production software experience.
• Experience with geospatial data processing and libraries such as GDAL/Rasterio.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure for scalable workloads.
• Proficient in English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software components for the satellite ground segment processing chain (Level 0 to Level 2).
• Implement and optimize processing workflows for radiometric calibration, georeferencing, and orthorectification.
• Collaborate with data scientists, satellite engineers, and product managers to gather requirements.
• Write clean, testable, and well‑documented code; contribute to CI/CD and code quality.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in complex processing workflows with geospatial data and metadata.
• Contribute to the evolution of the ground segment architecture as the constellation scales.
