Job summary

Helsinki Shipyard is offering internships across engineering and design teams in Helsinki. You will work alongside experienced engineers on real ship projects, assisting with design work, drawings, calculations, and supplier coordination.

The role provides hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary environment. Applicants should be students in a relevant technical field (Bachelor’s or Master’s) with strong English skills, and Finnish proficiency is required for the production department.

Qualifications

• You are a student in a relevant technical or engineering field (Bachelor’s or Master’s level).
• You have a proactive mindset and an interest in shipbuilding or marine technology.
• You are willing to learn and work in a multidisciplinary environment.
• You have good English language proficiency (both written and spoken).
• In the production department, Finnish proficiency is also required.

Responsibilities

• As an intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers and designers and support ongoing ship projects.
• Your tasks may include assisting with design work, drawings, calculations, documentation, supplier coordination, and other project-related activities depending on your background, interests, and the department you join.
• You will gain hands-on experience in a real shipbuilding environment and see how large, complex vessels are designed and built.
