Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Design Manager to lead the mechanical design of mission-critical data center projects across Europe, ensuring reliable, scalable, and energy-efficient systems.

You will work with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to deliver compliant, high-quality solutions and align with regulatory and DayOne standards. The role emphasizes HVAC, cooling, hydronic networks, and cross-discipline coordination, with on-site work and travel as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering as a baseline qualification.
• Experience leading mechanical design for data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, cooling, and building services.
• Ability to coordinate complex design workstreams with multiple disciplines.
• Knowledge of local regulations, standards, and sustainability targets.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design process for data center projects across Europe.
• Oversee cooling architecture, redundancy, and energy performance.
• Coordinate interfaces with electrical, architectural, civil, and other disciplines.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure reliable, maintainable designs.
• Review drawings, calculations, and specifications for accuracy and coordination.
• Ensure designs comply with DayOne standards and local regulations.
• Identify risks and support decisions through design, construction, and commissioning.
