DayOne Data Centers Ltd. in Lahti, Finland, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to oversee the mechanical infrastructure of our hyperscale data centres.

You will lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring reliable HVAC, chillers, and fire suppression systems while upholding safety and compliance. The role combines hands-on engineering leadership with strategic initiatives, vendor coordination, and 24/7 operations support.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering with 3–5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of data centre mechanical infrastructure including HVAC, chillers, and fire suppression systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and technicians.
• Plan and oversee preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with vendors for mechanical maintenance and upgrade projects.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Provide technical support and collaborate with operations teams.
