Job summary

Normet Oy is seeking an Engineering Change Coordinator to oversee engineering changes from BOM to production, coordinating with Equipment Engineering, Product Line Management and global teams. The role is based in Iisalmi, Finland, and involves a hybrid presence with 2–3 days/week on-site initially.

You will manage change timing, collaboration with Sourcing, and governance of the change process, ensuring timely implementation and clear communication across functions.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years in engineering changes in a manufacturing environment (BOM, change notices, timing).
• Understanding of production build phases, inventory and supplier lead times.
• Experience cross-functional with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain/Sourcing and Service.
• Experience in ERP/PLM and BOM structures is an advantage.
• Fluent in English and Finnish.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and drive item changes from BOM to the production floor.
• Assess and manage change implementation considering machines under build, storage items, and service implications.
• Plan change timing with item lead times, supplier availability and production schedule.
• Collaborate with Sourcing to identify obsolescence and trigger changes.
• Own and improve change management processes and governance.
• Align engineering changes across global sites and teams.
• Maintain clear change communication and status tracking with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Service.
