Job summary

BIT ODD is seeking a Game Analyst / Analytics Engineer to turn player data into decisions for Field Day. You will own the analytics stack from event design to dashboards, collaborating with design, marketing and live ops to improve acquisition, retention, engagement and monetization.

You will work on-site in Helsinki, building reliable data systems and self-serve tools, translating numbers into clear actions that drive game evolution and growth.

Qualifications

• Experience as data analyst for live game.
• Strong SQL skills & large datasets.
• Experience with data pipelines & modern stacks (BigQuery + Airflow).
• Experience using AI tools in analytics workflows.
• Proficiency in Python or R for analysis.
• Solid data visualization skills.
• Understanding of retention, LTV, ARPDAU, funnels.

Responsibilities

• Own the analytics stack end-to-end: event design, tracking, pipelines, data models and dashboards.
• Define and maintain key game and business metrics for the team.
• Analyze player behavior to identify trends and opportunities across sessions and cohorts.
• Collaborate with game/economy design to balance gameplay and economy.
• Support UA performance: attribution, CPI, ROAS, and retention by channel.
• Measure impact of updates and live events; size opportunities before commitments.
• Build automated reporting (daily KPI reports, UA dashboards) for quick access to numbers.
• Monitor performance, crashes, loading, and device stability in production.
• Support live operations by responding to changes and investigating issues.
• Make data self-serve by documenting pipeline and building tools incl. AI assistants.
