Job summary

Metsä Group’s Wood Supply and Forest Services seeks a Forest Expert for the Vasa procurement district, based in Närpes. The role focuses on timber trade, sale of forest services, and delivering a high-quality customer experience to forest owners in Övermark.

You will work with about 25 professionals, reporting to the district manager, coordinating forest management and felling with biodiversity and safety in mind, and advising forest owners on care of their assets.

Qualifications

• Education in forestry industry.
• Good cooperation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and be results-oriented.
• Proficiency in Swedish and Finnish languages.

Responsibilities

• Manage timber trade and sale of forest services.
• Create a good customer experience in the Övermark area.
• Maintain contact with forest owners and plan forest management measures and felling with biodiversity and safety in mind.
• Advise forest owners on the care of their forest assets.
